The Archer Family Series ~
John Archer, the irrepressible rogue and senior member of the family, is
saddled with two problems: a love of adventure and far too many unmarried
nieces and nephews. His wife, Lady Victoria, is determined to hamper his
escapades by assigning various unmarried relatives to keep him out of trouble when she’s away. Happily for John, he
always finds ways to circumvent this gambit by dragging his unsuspecting
nieces and nephews into an adventure while simultaneously playing
matchmaker.
Unfortunately, his efforts are rarely, if ever, truly appreciated! The first three books of the Archer series of Regency romantic mysteries are available and the fourth is on the way! Book 1: The Necklace introduces Oriana Archer, a woman determined prevent her uncle, John Archer, from causing mischief. But when Uncle John thrusts a wounded man at her and spins a tale about the lost ~ and cursed ~ family hierloom, The Peckham Necklace, even she finds it difficult not to become enmeshed in what becomes a nearly fatal adventure. Book 2: I Bid One American continues the tale of the Archers when John Archer becomes the guardian to an American heiress, Charlotte Haywood. Charlotte is determined to leave dreary England and discover what lies hidden in the Egyptian sands. But she doesn't reckon with John, his nephew, Nathaniel Archer, the new Duke of Peckham, or a case of murder. Book3: The Bricklayer's Helper picks up the Archer's story when they discover that a girl survived a terrible fire that destroyed the family of Lady Victoria's brother many years ago. The child, Sarah, believed she was the sole survivor and hid her identity by working as a bricklayer's helper. But thirteen years later, her disguise fails and someone discovers she survived the flames. Terrified, she hires William Trenchard, an inquiry agent with Second Sons, only to learn that John Archer and Lady Victoria survived as well. However, Wiliam is suspicious of this stroke of luck and until he can solve the mystery, he's determined to keep Sarah safe from the Archers.
The Bricklayer's Helper has been nominated for best historical romance by

He's determined to help her survive the ancient evil that threatens vampire and humans, alike, and discover the secret guarded by Gwen's family for over two hundred years.
